Cervoz’s multi-form-factor M.2 expansion cards are a high-performance solution for adding wired communication interfaces to products like compact industrial PCs that are used in a wide range of applications. With no minimum order quantity and each product serving three sizes, these devices can drastically streamline stocking of interface expansion cards for OEMs.
These M.2 cards can be snapped off to suit 42 mm, 60 mm, or 80 mm card lengths, with a standard 22 mm width, as shown in the picture below:
Currently, these 3-in-1 M.2 expansion cards support the following wired interfaces:
- Up to 2x ethernet ports at 10/100/1000 Mbps (Intel controllers)
- 2x RS232/422/485 serial ports at up to 921.6 Kbps baud rate (MaxLinear controllers)
- 2x USB 3.2 ports at up to 5000 Mbps (Renesas controllers)
The actual ports for connection are hosted remotely via a wired connector to each of the M.2 cards. Cervoz’s ethernet and serial options are available for operation between -40°C and +85°C. This is currently limited to between 0°C and +70°C for the USB cards. Cervoz also offers higher-spec/higher-speed options for some interfaces in the full-length 80-mm form factor.
