Murata’s LBES5PL2EL IoT Module is a compact (7.7 x 8.8 x 1.3 mm) solution for integrating multiple wireless protocols into space-constrained end products.
The key chipset at the heart of the module is NXP’s IW612, which supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.3 (incl. LE), and 802.15.4 connectivity, as well as Matter for unified IoT platform support. On-device algorithms ensure the best coexistence of these multiple wireless protocols for maximised performance.
The LBES5PL2EL’s Wi-Fi is controlled via SDIO interface with up to 601 Mbps PHY data rate, and the Bluetooth is controlled via UART interface with up to 2 Mbps PHY data rate. This IoT module operates on 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands with an external antenna required to ensure the most compact package and best matching requirements for your applications. The shielded design makes it well suited for power-sensitive applications that include IoT sensor nodes, handheld connected devices, and IoT gateways. LE audio functionality also enables voice-controlled products with the LBES5PL2EL.
