Continuing ipXchange’s pre-Embedded World content that celebrates the official partners who will be sharing our booth, we are more than proud to announce that Arduino will be showcasing its Portenta C33 board as a top pick from Arduino’s PRO product line.

Drawing from our previous interview with Arduino at Maker Faire Rome 2023, Eamon outlines the key points that make Portenta C33 a great choice when building a connected, industrial-grade product for mass production:

  • Renesas Arm Cortex-M33 MCU running at up to 200 MHz
  • Supports MicroPython and Arduino programming languages
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE connectivity with Arduino Cloud compatibility for remote IoT device monitoring and management
  • Connector and charging circuit for 3.7-V Li-Po battery
  • Industrial-grade security and certification done for you
  • Compact 66.04 x 25.40-mm form factor
  • Castellated pins for surface mount soldiering on automated assembly lines

The Portenta C33 also presents a lower-cost alternative to Arduino’s other Portenta boards while still being compatible with the carrier and expansion boards thanks to the two high-density connectors on the rear side. This enables faster development or deployment with easy physical connectivity to many readily available interfaces, including CAN, SD card, ADC, GPIO, SPI, I2S, I2C, and JTAG/SWD for debugging.

With ample software libraries to get you started – as one would expect from Arduino – the Portenta C33 is a must-see for those who are well-versed in the Arduino ecosystem but are venturing into more demanding builds.

And you can see it on the ipXchange booth at Embedded World 2024 (4A-101), but if you can’t wait, learn more by following the link to the board form below, where you can apply for a sample if you’ve got a suitable commercial project.

One more partner to go… Who’s it gonna be?

Keep designing!
