It’s Embedded World, so ipXchange was bound to see a few different devices exhibiting AI machine vision, this time at the CEVA booth for automotive applications. In this interview, Paul explains CEVA’s SensPro2 DSP, a high-performance sensor hub DSP that can be used for multitasked sensing and AI of multiple visual sensors, with 20% lower power consumption compared to its predecessor.
Implemented as part of the Novatek NT98530 Camera SoC, the SensPro2 DSP’s capabilities are demonstrated as part of a face, person, and vehicle detection system running a neural network that has been trained for ADAS. Paul goes on to explain that a similar system could be trained for other applications that require scalable AI vision, such as smart agriculture.
