At Embedded World 2026, Edge Impulse showed how a connected AI factory floor can bring multiple systems together in one platform.
The demo combined visual inspection, PPE detection, factory data, and an AI assistant on the edge. Running on Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9, the system handled several AI tasks at once, including defect detection and safety monitoring.
Qt Group helped tie the experience together with HMI software, dashboards, and the application layer needed to turn AI outputs into useful actions. The result was a clear example of how factories can move away from siloed systems and toward one connected workflow.
The message was simple: edge AI is no longer just about running a model. It is about building a full system that can see, analyze, and respond in real time.
