In our next piece of coverage from Hardware Pioneers Max, ipXchange catches up with Thomas from Cavli Wireless. We previously spoke with him at Embedded World, where he revealed that Cavli would be releasing thirteen new wireless modules over the course of the year, so here’s another two, still with that compact, low-power Cavli charm and competitive pricing. But, of course, that’s not all they have to offer…
The latest Cavli devices are the C41QS and C42QM IoT modules, both built around Qualcomm technology and supporting a wide variety of cellular IoT connectivity options – LTE CAT M1/NB1/NB2 + More – with global coverage. While the C41QS has GNSS as an optional extra, this comes as standard with the smarter, Cortex-A7-based C42QM, in addition to NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) capabilities that are sure to make this a disruptive device in an emerging market; at the moment, MediaTek and Samsung seem to be the only big NTN players, at least when presenting the question to Google at this time of writing!
This interview is quite the brief one though there’s plenty to shout about with these new Cavli devices, so learn more about them on the board pages for the C41QS and C42QM. If you’re looking for reliable connectivity in applications such as health care, smart home, smart city, energy infrastructure and utilities, security, manufacturing, agriculture – the list goes on – Cavli will have some evaluation boards coming soon to test this technology, so get first in line and apply through ipXchange.
And if you’ve any interest in NTN functionality in a commercial project, look no further. Don’t be late to the chips when that market kicks off – Don’t worry; ipXchange recently recieved a hot tip for another disruptive NTN device, so stay tuned.
