Monolithic Power Systems’ (MPS’) MID3W2424A presents an ultra-high-power-density isolated DC/DC converter with up to 3 W of output power and an integrated transformer. This all comes in a package size of just 10 x 10 mm (LGA-6) with minimal external components required for integration.
The MID3W2424A is optimised for an input of 24 V (±10%) and is well suited for powering IGBTs or SiC MOSFET gate drivers that require a fast switching frequency (500 kHz). The soft-switching topology enhances EMI performance, and the device is EN62368-1 compliant, making it great for audio-visual and information/communication applications operating in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +105°C. Standard safety features include protections for over-current, input over-voltage, short-circuit, and over-temperature.
