SONY’s IMX537-series image sensors feature an 8.8-mm (diagonal) active area of 2464 x 2056 pixels (5.1 megapixels) each at 2.74 x 2.74 µm in size. This back-illuminated sensor is available in colour (IMX537AAQJ) or monochrome (IMX537AAMJ) variants with high sensitivity and low dark current.
In addition to a global shutter with variable charge-integration time, the IMX537 devices are capable of framerates up to 258 fps (8 bit), 245 fps (10 bit), and 173 fps (12 bit), making them well suited for fast monitoring applications such as industrial assembly lines, food inspection, and automated sorting tasks.
This is supported by SONY’s SLVS-EC protocol that enables a data rate of 5 Gbps per lane.
Macnica, a distributor of SONY’s IMX537-series image sensors has created a full evaluation platform for this design, consisting of an easy-to-mount board containing the sensor and supporting circuitry, in addition to a board containing the power supply and connections to your choice of FPGA development board for digital signal processing.
Further specifications for the IMX537 and these evaluation kits are available on request. By filling out the application form below, you can enter consultation with Macnica to evaluate this technology.
