Supermicro’s E100-12T-H presents engineers with a 195 x 44 x 150-mm ,1.2-kg fanless computer that is perfect for edge-AI applications thanks to the integrated Hailo-8 AI hardware accelerator. You can learn more about this 3-W, 26-TOPS AI inferencing solution on our separate Hailo module board page.
The fanless design supports an operating temperature of -30°C to 50°C without the fear that dust or other particles may interfere with the electronics or cause unwanted noise/vibration. The rugged construction is suitable for mounting in environments with an operational shock and vibration level of 30 G, half sine over 11 ms (IEC 60068-2-27) and 5 Grms, random at 5-500 Hz, 1 hr/axis (IEC 60068-2-64) respectively.
Key application areas for this technology include industrial automation, retail, medical systems, digital signage, smart factory, smart building, and security and surveillance where high-performance machine vision AI is key.
The main CPU of this solution is an Intel Core i7-1185GRE, and this is supported by up to 64 GB RAM. The Hailo-8 card is mounted via an M.2 expansion slot and is the default expansion option for this product. Key interfaces include:
- Dual 2.5 GbE LAN w/ Intel I225-IT controllers
- 4x COM (RS-232/422/485)
- 3x USB 3.2
- 1x USB-C 3.2
- 4x USB 2.0
- 1x Digital I/O via DB9
- 1x HDMI 2.0b (4K60)
- 1x HDMI 1.4b
- Optional audio mic in and line out
The E100-12T-H can operate using 12-24 VDC input and is supplied with a lockable 12-V, 84-W DC power adapter. The engineer can configure control of power-on after AC power loss, and the CPU has a thermal trip support for additional protection. Power can also be forced on via a jumper if required within the installation.
Supermicro also produces a bare-board version of the Single Board Computer (SBC) featured within this IoT server module, so if you are interested in evaluating this technology for a commercial application, fill out the form below, and ipXchange will get you connected for further information and samples.
