The SR1120 from Spark Micro represents a breakthrough in ultra-low latency wireless audio, designed specifically for applications where real-time feedback is critical. This includes electronic instruments, live streaming, wireless headsets, and robotics. Built around Spark’s proprietary ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, this module delivers audio and data transmission speeds that rival wired connections, without the bulk or cabling.

At the heart of the board is Spark’s SR1120 UWB radio transceiver, capable of high data throughput, very low latency, and exceptional power efficiency. Unlike traditional Bluetooth, which often introduces perceptible lag in time-sensitive use cases, the SR1120 enables seamless audio performance even in challenging environments. Whether you’re syncing multiple speakers or drumming on an electronic kit, latency is reduced to the point of near-instant response.

Engineers can monitor packet delivery ratios, signal strength, and configure bidirectional/unidirectional data streams. The EVK simplifies long-range, low-latency testing with detailed system telemetry and remote control features, and it supports USB-C power and data, with optional Li-Ion battery operation.
