Taoglas’ FXP14 is a flexible wideband antenna serving worldwide 5G/4G cellular bands for applications including security, remote monitoring, and connected health. This antenna features a 70 x 20 x 0.2 mm rectangular peel-and-stick design for easy mounting onto a plastic enclosure, with great performance on a wide range of different plastic materials at different thicknesses. An I-PEX MHF I (U.FL comp) connector with a 100 mm cable comes as the default interfacing option for connection to your PCB; further consultation with Taoglas may result in alternative options for your project.
Key RF performance characteristics include a maximum input power of 5 W and the following gain and efficiency in the bands detailed in the table below. These measurements were obtained with the FXP14 mounted on a piece of ABS with a thickness of 2 mm.
Band | Frequency (MHz) | Efficiency (%) | Average Gain (dB) | Peak Gain (dBi) |
5GNR/4G | 617-698 | 36.9 | -4.33 | -0.06 |
4G/3G | 698-806 | 46.2 | -3.36 | 2.03 |
4G/3G/ NB-IoT/Cat M | 824-960 | 58.1 | -2.36 | 6.01 |
5GNR/4G | 1427-1518 | 51.5 | -2.88 | 1.90 |
4G/3G | 1710-2200 | 70.5 | -1.52 | 4.52 |
