Taoglas’ FXP280 is a flexible PCB antenna serving the 863-870 MHz band for LoRa and Sigfox IoT applications including medical devices, smart monitoring, and smart home. This antenna features a 75 x 45 x 0.2 mm rectangular peel-and-stick design for easy mounting onto a plastic enclosure. An I-PEX MHF I (U.FL comp) connector with a 100 mm cable comes as the default interfacing option for connection to your PCB; further consultation with Taoglas may result in alternative options for your project.
Key RF performance characteristics include a maximum input power of 5 W, -16 dB return loss, 52% efficiency, and 1.8 dBi gain; these measurements were obtained with the FXP280 mounted on a piece of ABS with a thickness of 2 mm. The FXP280 operates with a linearly polarised output at 50 Ω and is suitable for operation at -40°C to 85°C. The operating characteristics of this antenna are provided in further detail as part of this datasheet.
