The Calypso module itself is a standalone IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and 2.4 GHz radio module that features a small form factor of 19 x 27.5 x 4 mm with an integrated smart antenna to support both protocols. An industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C makes the Calypso module suitable for a wide variety of applications, and low-power operation enables its use in battery operated designs, with <10 μA current draw in Sleep mode and <2mA current draw in Power save mode while maintaining an active network connection. The peak output power is specified at +18 dBm with a sensitivity of -92 dBm.
