The form below can be used to apply to evaluate Monolithic Power Systems’ (MPS’) high-power USB Power Delivery (PD) technology for use in a commercial project. This solution enables bidirectional power delivery and communication between USB-C devices with intelligent charger control to ensure the correct charging voltage specifications are met. With the introduction of new standards, MPS’ solution enables USB-C charging for products ranging from mobile devices, computers, to e-scooters, and more. The maximum charging output using these extended power range devices is 48 V at 5 A.
As part of a full USB-C charging solution that includes an AC/DC front end managed by MPS’ HR1211 multi-mode PFC + current mode LLC controller IC and MPS625AGS dual-LLC synchronous rectifier ICs, MPS’ MPF52000 dual USB-C PD controller IC features integrated DC/DC buck-boost functionality in addition to USB-C communication to negotiate the power requirements of each device in the system. This technology can be evaluated using either a full 240-W AC/DC USB-C charging solution or as an automotive-qualified DC/DC board built around the MPF52000. Please note that this is an expedited writeup that does not reflect the standard content for an ipXchange board page.
With the upcoming changes to our website, visitors will have the ability to backlink from these board pages to the associated articles and interviews pertaining to the disruptive technology discussed.
In order to move onto the latest show coverage past PCIM Europe and Sensor+Test 2023, we have chosen to omit the full coverage of this technology so that we can better serve the interests of the ipXchange community as it stands at the time of writing.
If you would like to test this technology for use in a commercial project, fill out the form below, and ipXchange will get you connected with MPS to facilitate evaluation.
