And ipXchange returns to the ScioSense stand at SENSOR+TEST for interview number 3 with Rolf; one more to go!
In this very short clip, Rolf demonstrates the high accuracy of ScioSense’s ENS220 ultra-low-power barometric pressure and temperature sensor in a fun balloon-centric demo, which uses a pair of ENS220s to measure differential pressure to reliably determine the height of the balloon with centimetre-level precision.
With minimal peripheral components required to interface this 2.0 x 2.0 x 0.75 mm sensor, the ENS220 is a great solution for space-constrained designs like wearables and mobile devices, with size and performance that enables new use cases for such a sensor. These include applications such as activity tracking, indoor navigation/localisation, and fall-detection.
Outside of applications that benefit from this device’s minimum strain on battery life, the ENS220 can also be used to great effect in appliances – particularly for liquid level sensing – medical devices, and much more thanks to an operating range from 300 to 1200 hPa and -40 to +85°C!
Our final SENSOR+TEST interview with Rolf is one that should not be missed, so in the meantime, you can learn more about the ENS220 here, where you can also apply to test this technology for use in a commercial project.
